Like any other group, HFA is no exception when it comes to having rules. Although they are very straightforward and drawn from common sense, please be sure to read them over before you participate in the forum. If you are an existing member, you will recognize the rules from the Facebook group.
1. ALWAYS be polite. Respect others and their opinions, especially if you disagree.
2. Profanity is welcome, although NOT acceptable if used to disrespect another member or as spam. Admins have not enabled filters - do not make us. Our selection of replacement words will be entirely humiliating for you.
3. Feel free to add posts. We can always use help and we want to see our Inmate community active. Nothing is more rewarding for us Admins than to see our members having a good time and are enjoying all we have to offer!
4. NO spamming. Your account will be given warning notes and levels before you are banned at the discretion of an Admin. Keep in mind we have also left the 'Karma' feature on so that other members can rate your interactions as well.
5. Feel free to advertise for authors you find interesting. Promote yourself, share your work - totally fine! Just make sure it's Horror related. Otherwise, please keep your post in the General section at the bottom of the page. Admins reserve the right to move or remove misplaced threads.
6. Read all rules carefully for any contests or giveaways. If you have a question, ask it upfront to an Admin, post it in the help section, tweet us, email us etc. It will get a reply. We collectively put an awful lot of thought, time and energy into creating these activities but we are only human (...or are we?) at the end of the day!
7. Speak up - never fear us Admin.. we only bite when asked!
